Nashik, Maharashtra
A hideaway woven from handloom cotton, vetiver breeze, and the unhurried pace of the Deccan. Not a resort — a home with stories.
Who We Are
Aarav House started as a 200-year-old wada that refused to be torn down. We kept the lime-plastered walls, the inner courtyard, and the sense that time works differently here. We added good beds, better coffee, and art by local hands.
No concierge scripted to upsell. No fake folk programme at 6 pm. Just honest hospitality — the kind where someone actually asks how you slept.
Where You Sleep
Each room is named after a local bird. Each one different. All of them have working windows.
Garden View
Kota stone floors, a brass lamp, and a window that opens to the neem tree. Queen bed with handblock printed linen.
Courtyard Suite
A private sit-out facing the inner courtyard. Teak wood ceiling, deep bathtub, and a small desk for those who pretend to work.
Rooftop Room
On the terrace level with views of the Godavari ghats. Exposed rafters, handwoven rugs, and a telescope for stargazing.
What We Offer
Small rituals and real experiences — no ticketed tours, no forced fun.
In the courtyard, with the mali watering the plants in the background. 6:30 am, every day.
Nashik is wine country. We'll take you to the good vineyards — not the Instagram ones.
A local artist comes in on weekends. You leave with something you made with your own hands.
We pack a thermos of chai and walk you to the quieter ghats for sunset. No rush back.
The Table
Our cook, Suman tai, has been making the same poha recipe for 30 years. We are not changing it. Everything here is sourced within 40 km.
What Guests Say
"I came for two nights and stayed five. The rooftop room, the morning chai, the way nobody rushes you — this is what travel should feel like."
"Suman tai's breakfast alone is worth the trip. The Hirwa Suite has a bathtub I genuinely did not want to leave. Real heritage, no pretence."
"We did the Warli workshop on Saturday and I cried a little. In a good way. The courtyard at night with a lamp is completely magical."
